In July 2021, HAT sought out local artists to create beautiful pieces of work on the 6 signal boxes found throughout Hermon. HAT worked with the Offices of CD-14 and the LADOT to create an opportunity for NELA residents to help create a more welcoming and beautiful space for us all to enjoy.
In October, a selection committee made up of HAT, HNC, and various community reps, came together and selected the 6 pieces that was felt to best represent the community. Take a look at the "Signal Box Project" tab to see the 6 submissions selected. We are in the process of getting approved by the Council Office and LADOT... we will keep you posted. |

Hermon Clean Team (HCT) was started in 2002, by long-time residents Wendi and Joe, in an effort to keep the community vibrant and clean. The effort went for many years , with many thousands of pounds of trash collected in this little, tiny neighborhood.
After many years, HCT participation waned, and then came......... THE PANDEMIC!!! What to do??? Do what Wendi and Joe have always done... trust the community to come through. Nowadays, HCT is run by a local couple, who loves helping to keep Hermon sparkly clean. Interested in participating in a month clean-up?
