Welcome to Hermon Hermon is a 118-year-old neighborhood in the city of Los Angeles, California. It is situated in a historic valley bordered by beautiful Hermon Park along the Arroyo Seco wash and parkway, South Pasadena, and Santa Fe Hill. It is primarily a residential community, with a small business district, one elementary school, and a charter high school. Founded by members of the Free Methodist religious denomination, many of its streets were named for religious leaders. It is home to Hermon Dog Park and three L.A. City Historic-Cultural monuments, including the unique "Monterey Trailer Park." An active, empowered community, the cohesiveness of Hermon's civic endeavors, clean-ups, graffiti prevention, advocacy, and education is strong. In 2017, the Hermon Neighborhood Council was certified by Los Angeles as the newest (and smallest) in the City.
Who We Are: Hermon Advance Team (HAT) is a community non-profit established in 2016. HAT exists to determine the needs and wishes of the Hermon community-- then pursuing those goals, and finding solutions to build a vital and empowered community through regular outreach and needs-based projects within Hermon.
